Susan Handelman

View this Collection

Susan usually works in series with watercolors and/or acrylic paint.  Drawn to wild colors, a bit of abstract, lots of texture and a composition which she alters, she loves surprises in her work and often includes the unexpected.

Susan divides her time between Arizona and Colorado. The Colorado trees talk to her as she tells the viewer something different, something that she sees and feels.

Michael Jackman

View this Collection

Michael Jackman grew up in Cornwall, England, inspired by the
intrinsic beauty of the dramatic rocky coastlines and quaint Cornish fishing
villages bathed in clean, crisp light.
He has lived in Summit County, CO for almost 15 years and although the
subject matter for his landscape paintings may be different from his native
Cornwall he finds many similarities in the quality of light found here.  Michael's landscape works are painted primarily in acrylics which are well suited to his painting technique,
since their fast drying time means they can be applied quickly and reworked
in multiple layers.

Painting with watercolors has been a passionate journey for the past 30 years. The exploration of color, shape, composition and various techniques has lead me to develop an expressionistic style of my own. Most of my paintings are done on a synthetic paper called Yupo, a nonabsorbent surface that offers a very vibrant and fluid form of expression. Recreating reality does not interest me; however, expressing the playfulness and beauty of life through my individual style is my goal.  I hope my paintings will bring a smile to the viewer.

Wildlife and Wild Places Photography

Photographing wild places and wildlife has taken me far and wide. Photographing wildlife at a unique moment in a stunning scenic setting is the challenge. Creating an image that invokes an emotional response in the eyes of the viewer is an exciting adventure and my ultimate goal.
